ACET Meeting, June 8th 2008

We had a great time with members on Sunday, June 8th. Lots of songs, teaching ideas and tips for classroom management were shared. Thanks to Yukari, Yuka, Akiko, Nigel and other participants!

ACET Meeting, May 11th 2008

ACET Meeting, March 9th 2008

Mina-sensei, thank you for coming to the meeting today. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the meeting although some regular members were absent due to their family matters or something. Today we had several new participants who came over on the rainy day from Kumamoto, Karatsu, Asakura…etc. What dedicated teachers!! Thank you all for coming today!
We started the meeting with 3 short chants. Then, Emi-sensei showed us a couple of activities using her “original” dice (The dice was AMAZING!!)  Finally, we shared ideas for recruiting and trial lessons. I hope to see you all again in April !

ACET Meeting, 3rd February 2008

Hello. The following are the minutes of the Feb. meeting on Sunday, the 3rd. Just for your info.

2) Michael did a mini-lesson with three girls. He shared a lot of activities and teaching tips using animal cards, the name cards…etc. He’s going to show some more activities at the next meeting. Don’t miss it out!

4. Discussion: Plans for 2008

*ACET meeting schedules in 2008–>Mar.9th, April 13th, May 11th, June 8th, July 13th, Sep.14th, Oct. 5th, Nov.9th(? ACET/ETJ Joing meeting), Dec. 7th or 14th(depending on the ETJ EXPO)
*Some ideas were shared such as a flea market(teaching materials exchange?), reviewing MAT Method …etc.
*As for a special workshop with a guest speaker for this year, please think about who you’d like to invite to ACET. If you have any suggestions, please email me(Yoriko).

The next meeting will be held on Mar.9th, 1:30-3:30PM.

4.  Discussion & Brainstorming for the next year

We confirmed on ‘The Statutes of ACET’ (our goals, admission fees…etc.) The details of the Statutes will be soon posted on ACET homepage.  http://1st.geocities.jp/acet20002000/index.html

Regarding regular meetings, the followings were agreed.

*We should be more punctual on the meeting time. i.e. Let’s start at 1:30 sharp and finish at 15:30 and tidy up at latest by 4 p.m.
*As for self-introductions, regular members introduce only their names while new members or members who come after a long absence are requested to introduce themselves in more details.

We had a fun Christmas Party after the meeting.

The next meeting will be held on Sunday,Feb. 3rd from 1:30PM-3:30PM.
